After the visit Peptide care

Keep a way back into the conversation.

Before leaving a visit, ask how the next conversation begins. Put the contact route, the review plan and any open question beside each other in your notes.

The plan after the prescription

Know whom to ask after your medicine arrives

The FDA, the US medicine regulator, treats a missing clinician for questions after a medicine arrives as a telehealth warning sign.

Ask where a message goes and who reads it. Ask how to get a reply if the usual route does not work.

Agree what the review will cover

Ask which changes are worth recording and what the clinician will use to judge the result. Include how you feel, not just the task of getting a refill.

Ask what happens if the next review shows you need an exam in person. The state medical boards’ national guidance says to send patients for care in person when they need it.

Give stopping its own discussion

Tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) is a medicine used in diabetes and weight care.

In the SURMOUNT-4 study, people who switched from tirzepatide to a dummy shot containing no study medicine gained weight again on average.

That study does not decide an individual stopping plan.

Ask how to discuss a pause, a change or an end to care. Keep the care decision separate from the question of cancelling a payment.

Look beyond the first payment
