Tests and records Peptide care
Ask what a test would change.
A test request is easier to understand when it comes with a reason. Ask what the result could change about the care being considered.
Connect each test to the plan
Find out whether your care needs a blood test
A blood test is not required for every prescription by general federal law, as recorded September 26, 2026.
Some medicines have their own required tests, and state rules may also require tests. Your clinician still needs to decide which tests your care calls for.
A medicine’s needs and your own history belong in the discussion.
Give each test a purpose
Ask for the test name in plain words. Then ask who reviews it, how you receive the result and what happens if it needs discussion.
Under the national medical-board guidance, needed tests must happen. The clinician can perform them, arrange them or refer you elsewhere for them.
Bring records into the same conversation
Tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) is a medicine used in diabetes and weight care.
Its medicine information tells the clinician to discuss pregnancy plans, severe stomach problems, and past pancreas or gallbladder problems.
The label also makes other medicines and planned surgery relevant to that assessment.
Ask whether records you already have would help. Keep the person reviewing them beside the task in your notes.
