Check a clinician Peptide care

Put a name beside the person assessing you.

Begin with a full name and the person’s professional role. Ask for the licence details used for your visit, then compare them with the public record.

Check the place where you will be

As of September 26, 2026, US telehealth guidance ties a doctor’s permission to practice to the state where the patient is during care.

A state medical licence or another permission recognized by that state may cover the visit. Guidance describes limited exceptions, such as one doctor advising another, or follow-up for an existing patient who is travelling temporarily. Ask the state medical board to confirm what permission is needed for your visit.

Read the board’s record

The state medical board keeps records of a doctor’s licence and any publicly reported punishment for breaking professional rules.

Use the medical boards’ federation directory to reach your state’s board website.

Compare the name and status carefully. If the search looks incomplete, ask the board how to find the right record.

Know what a clean result means

Finding no published punishment in that record does not prove the doctor will give you good care.

That directory covers doctors; it does not list every kind of health professional.

If another type of clinician will assess you, ask which licensing board holds their record. Keep the role and the board name together.
